This past weekend was the SAKT in Port Elizabeth at Bluewater Bay beach, my home spot. The conditions were pretty good on saturday for the freestyle. Blowing about 25knots easterly, perfect for a 7m. I advanced threw all my heats until the final.
For the final i was pretty confident that i could take it. The heat started off awesome landed a backmobe, frontmobe, blind judge, 313, slimchance and then disaster struck, the screw for my footstrap stripped and i was out of the heat with about 4mins left, i tried a few moves on some else board but it just wasn't working.
At the prize giving i found i got a 3rd place which i was disapointed with the result as i think i deserved atleast a 2nd.
With this result i think im lying 2nd overall by only 1 point, so it's close at the moment with 3 comps left, but im training hard to take the victory
